Romulus principals pooled their intellectual capacity as electric and electronic engineers

Foreseeing the debilitating effects of the looming energy problem, Mr R Erasmus, the founder of Romulus, realised that prudent energy management could help to negate the inconvenience and cost that would result from regular power outages. Client-side energy management would be almost impossible to achieve on a large-scale initiative, suggesting that supply-side management would be a more effective approach.

At Romulus, in depth research was conducted, which resulted in the development of Synapses, a range of products that support energy management overall, as well as in very specific areas. As an electronic engineering firm where principals have 15 years’ hands-on experience, Romulus has the competency required to find active solutions to the power supply problems.

Effective networking within a wide contact base with related challenges expedited the process of turning highly effective and marketable products into the sought-after solutions for energy management.
