A considerable portion of energy cost is due to overheads related to collecting meter readings and managing controllable load.

•    A remote metering and connection/disconnection system.

•    Demand side management

The Synapses load switch with metering is installed in the house distribution board and utilises

bi-directional power line carrier communication to a central system where shedding patterns can be downloaded to the device and meter readings. Load profiles can also be uploaded. ‘Shed’ and ‘Restore’ commands can be sent to individual devices, groups or all devices.
